Chew Valley Lake, Somerset
Friday 31st July - Sunday 2nd August 2020
New to Wicked Events for 2020, we're excited to be involved with Valley Fest, the South West most mouth-watering festival. Set in a beautiful lakeside location, just south of Bristol. From delicious food to brilliant live music, Valley Fest has it all.
Now in its 7th year, Valley Fest aim to put on the best party ever, including top UK headline acts and some of Bristol’s best-known culinary talents to cook you up a feast. Valley Fest is your chance to see the big names you’d expect at much larger festivals in an intimate setting.
At the heart of the festivals ethos is the story of founder, Luke Hasell. Luke set up Valley Fest in 2014, in memory of his parents who died too young but knew a thing or two about how to enjoy life.
Their love of sharing good times and tasty eats was the inspiration for the friendly, food-loving festival you can experience today.
We look forward to welcoming you to the party. See you by the lake!
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to 3 shifts over the weekend. Shifts will be approx. 5hrs each and in most cases a shift pattern of one morning, one afternoon and one evening will be expected. For more details, see the team descriptions below.
Valley Fest takes place in a beautiful site set alongside Chew Lake, Somerset. Not far from Bristol this festival is easily accessible and conveniently placed.
We require a small team to help cover the arena gates and patrolling around the arena area Friday to Sunday. This will involve working 3x5hr shifts, one morning, one afternoon and one evening. Total of 24 places available.
This involves working one late evening shift 9pm-3am monitoring safety around the arena fire pits, plus one regular daytime shift helping on the General Stewards Team. 18 places available.
Helping to manage audience arrivals and making sure they are safe and happy during their stay. This could be helping with campsites, car parks, wristband exchange or box office. Involves 3x5hr shifts Friday to Monday made up of one morning, one afternoon and one evening shift. Although we require more help on Friday for peak arrival times, so if you can do a double shift Friday this gives you more free time during the weekend. 66 places available.
Helping on this team involves working more hours, but you don’t have to work at all during the festival live days. Working Wednesday and Thursday, approximately 8hrs per day, working in the staff car park or box office. Plus a shift on the following Monday of approx. 6hrs helping make sure people leave the site safely and/or helping pack up site equipment. 12 places available.
